Giving back to the community we serve is important to the Roanoke Personal Injury Lawyers with Skolrood Law Firm, and a movie being filmed in the city is going to do just that.

The movie, tentatively titled Crossing Streets, is produced by Alexander Films and is set to being shooting in Roanoke this March. The film centers around the story of a detective and a preacher who solve a crime while touching on the mission of local non-profit organization Straight Street.

The organization focuses on giving teenagers, especially those considered “at-risk”, a safe place to spend their time. A portion of the film’s proceeds will be donated to Straight Street.

Producers are calling for local talent to get involved with the project as well. Casting calls for several roles were held last week at Greene Memorial Church.

Roanoke’s mayor, David Bowers, stated the community is excited about the activity surrounding the film, and they are hopeful the movie will be able to raise awareness about an organization that has touched countless lives in the Roanoke community. The team of attorneys with Skolrood Law firm would like to second that sentiment!
