Riding motorcycles is a hobby several members of our team at Skolrood Law Firm enjoy. We also love giving back to the communities we serve. That’s why our Roanoke motorcycle accident lawyers are excited to let you know about an upcoming event that combines these two passions.
On Saturday, Oct. 17, the city of Pulaski, Virginia, will host the Noah Thomas Memorial Ride. Registration for the event will run from 9 a.m.. to 11 a.m. at the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office on Main Street. The cost of the event is $15 per motorcycle with an additional $5 cost for a passenger. The price includes food and live music.
According to WDBJ 7 News, the ride will raise money for NRV Cares, a local nonprofit organization that focuses on preventing children from abuse or neglect.
During rides like these, it’s important that motorcyclists keep safety in mind at all times to prevent accidents from occurring. That’s why our team at Skolrood Law Firm encourages riders to keep these motorcycle safety tips in mind during the upcoming ride.
Drivers in the area should also be aware that the event is taking place and the increased motorcycle traffic on the roads. Motorists should remember to double check blind spots and look twice in both directions of traffic twice before making a maneuver.
We hope these tips help everyone to have a safe, fun, and rewarding ride this weekend!
